MAF Code After Fuel Filter Replacement

Replaced the fuel filter on a 2000 Tahoe today and it ran a little rough afterwards and generated code P0102. After a short time, it started running like normal but the code regenerated.

Is this typical when power is removed to the PCM? I am trying to determine if there is really anything wrong or if the PCM just needs to relearn the right mix.

Thanks,
Chris

P0102 comes up as "Mass air flow sensor circuit, low input". I don't see where that would have any bearing on the fuel filter. I replace mine several times and never had any problems. Possible that on start up the fuel system was not fully pressurized and the engine was starving for fuel and air. Replace your air filters lately ????

MAF tells the computer how much fuel to send based on air intake. If there was a problem with the filter the engine could receive less fuel than commanded, possibly making the MAF out to be the bad guy? Just a theory. But beyond that, I thought that the act of simply de-energizing the PCM might cause it to act funny when re-energized. Haynes notes that car may run rough While PCM relearns. Didn't know if that could also trigger codes.

Chris

P.S. Haven't checked the air filter but no codes prior to fuel filter replacement + codes after filter replacement = (to me) problem related to fuel filter replacement. Will check that air filter though.
