any stock b series motor will be good for boost with the exception of the b20.

what is better for turbo? Do you mean which of the b series is best for boosting? If that is the case, pretty much all of them equally, the one that will give you the best performance results would be any of the b18c's. IMO, the d series are the best for boosting, just because they will be less of a headache, the b series require lots of money and time if you decide to boost them because they are higher compression you have to be careful with the pressure because they will blow easily. Like I said, if you are looking to boost and get decent results with less time and money, D series, IMO.

b16a2@12psi with t3/t04b making 264whp (actually i think it was 274) on tuned hondata s2b and rc 550s. i didnt think that was bad at all for a stock DOHC b16 block with 10% cylinder leakage across the board. B's arent expensive to boost. the block just cost more than the Ds.

An important aspect of whether which stock block you decide to use is the stand alone fuel and ignition management system you plan to use. the b16a2 block was boosted@7psi for a little over a year before the hondata was used @ 12psi. i contribute that year @ 7 psi on an fmu to be the down fall of the block. by the time the hondata went in, it was already too late. detonation had already taken its toll on the rings and piston. As my sig shows, the person i sold it to needs a new short block. pm is the key ;)

because a stock motor has higher compression it will just require less boost to get you there. if you can afford the B, then go get it. B series vs D series and this B motor vs this other B motor is a waste of valuable search time.
