have you tried disconnecting the Sony deck and hooking the Infinity back up and seeing if everything works?

I have had the vehicle three weeks, it came with another sony head unit which had been fitted, but again, only one speaker and one tweeter works...I have changed it back but am still getting no joy.......

A real problem could be the stock amp that sits under the back seat driver side. It's a mess of unlabled wires back there. Have you tested the wires going to the speakers to make sure they are getting power?
An option may be to just use your RCA jacks and run them through your own aplifiers with a crossover for the front tweeters.
When people install aftermarket head units giving off 50W per channel they don't realize that it then has to run through the stock amp.
There is a very real potential that you blew your speakers.
