Be sure to use correct viscosity of oil when changing, too thick oil can cause more severe "cold start" wear and tear. Lanos Driver 11-27-2009, 03:03 PM My '01 Lanos has made a clicking sound from the fuel pump since the car was new. Three or four 'ticks' just after first starting of the engine in the morning, then it goes away and does it again the next morning. It won't do it if outside temp is below about 30deg F. If this is what your friend is hearing, there should be no cause for concern. HTH vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
