You're probably safest to stay within the same year range as your model Tacoma. I have a 96 Tacoma. I purchased bucket seats from a 2000 Tacoma to replace my 60/40 seats. The inside rail on both seats match the original points, but I had to modify the mounting points for the outer -most rails. In my case, I probably should have stuck with seats from a 95 to 99 Tacoma. I wanted to make the seats work, since the 2000 bucket seats are nicer and the driver's seat has a lumbar support and tilt adjustment. good luck!
