My cabin lights will go on all of a sudden and then go off frequently while I'm driving. They also will stay on for long periods of time after I lock the car. Could I need a new fuse or what?

It sounds like you have a bad contact in the door switch. Check each of them individually and see if they move easily and depress easily. The light should go on and off. If the light stays on or shutters on & off, you might have a bad contact in the switch.

Your door switches are located inside the door panel on the latch assembly. You can isolate the bad switch by spraying each latch with penetrating oil. This is only a temporary fix. There is a post in the windstar forum addressing the repair. Read this post.
