d16y7 ecu help!

i converted a d16y7 from a M/T to an automatic and did the harness and everything but it wont start. what is the number of the ecu for d16y7 automatic? and ive having problems with a loud nocking noise. the engine is off a perfectly running car and straight from manual to auto.

does the auto. have a tcu? i knoe the older ones used them...u might need the auto ecu if they dont use a tcu

i have an auto ecu off a 97 civic but it still doesnt want to start. cuz there are 3 different ecus i herd, p2e, p2p, and p2n

p2p is the y8 ecu.. u don't want that one

the p2e is the y7 ecu.. but im not sure if its the same for the automatic. mine's a stick and its p2e

and WHY DID U CONVERT TO AUTOMATIC???

i converted it cuz i had a 96 civic and it was origanlly a stick with jsut the shell and no engine at the shop and my mom wanted it but she could only drive stick and i had the d16y7 engine lying around with only 60,000 miles on it because it was off an EK before the b18 swap went in.

thanks guys, i relized the problem with the ecu. i tried another p2e and it worked. it started!
