This car was FAST, much faster than the M3 SMG coupe and the 02M5 I have gone against.

We both paced each other at about 60-70mph. I let him jump first and he had a nose on me until I crept by him at about 90-115mph very slowly. The guy I raced was alone and about 60years old and his SCed DINAN was SWEET!

I had my 2.8pulley(2-3#s less boost), 91pump, luggage, and my GF in the car. I figured his car might trap 2-3mph less than mine so maybe 109mph? I really don't know what I would run on the street.

I checked out the DINAN SC package and they claim the hp goes to 402 with a mid-high 12s 1/4 mile and an additional 8mph trap over the 540i sport version! So what is that a 110-112mph trap?

Like I said my car in its street setup with an additional 400-500lbs was barely faster than his.

Closest race I have ever had with this setup! Lots of fun.

Nice run, I think the world needs more 60 year old street racers...I only ever see them out on Sunday afternoons...but you never hear of a 60 year old dying in while street racing...it's almost always the teenagers...apparently their doing something right :)

This lady in her late 30s early 40s that shops at the grocery store I work at drives a Cobra. I thought...wow person who doesnt know anything about cars (as it would appear), driving a car I would love to drive. Well I went outside for break one day, and I pertended to walk over to my car to see her cobra. Well..It was a manual. I was like wtf thats awesome. Also had some non-stock rims, but might have come with the car, cant really see her buying them.


Anyways, nice run..And great sighting on a nice bavarian. I am jealous.

The Cobra comes only with a 6-speed manual and is the sole Mustang with independent rear suspension
Taken from a 3rd party website. Funny, it is my outta college car (looking 8 years ahead) and I didnt even know it was manual only. I just knew I would never drive it auto.

Most of them probably die of a heart attacks at home and that's why you don't see very many of them :dunno:.

That sounds like one helluva race Jeff. I love that GTP. I wish you could have got that on vid. It would have made my day. But still, that Dinan SCer sounds like it does absolute wonders for that 540i. Good race/kill. L8...

No. Not all Cobra's are sticks. Most are though. I'm pretty sure that 03+ Cobra's only came with the 6-speed. Dont quote me on this though. Good run, you get all these awesome cars to race you. I cant even get riceboys to run agaisnt me.
