DOT date of manufactureidiun 03-16-2005, 12:26 AM Does anyone know of a case where the DOT DATE OF MANUFACTURE stamped on a tire turned out to be to be the wrong date of manufacture? idiun lloydg_f@yahoo.com CapriRacer 03-17-2005, 05:57 PM I've seen a few cases, but usually its off by a week or so. Ocassionally, the year will be wrong, but that's really rare. However, these types of things are reportable to the DOT as - and I forget the phrase - inconsequential defects (or something like that). But what is usually the case is that interpreting the date code is faulty. There are some pitfalls that you have to watch out for. So why are you asking? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
