What brand/size injectors are you going with? I've got to upgrade, and I'm looking at a set by Racetronix. I won't have to adapt the fuel rail with theirs as opposed to going with a set for an ls1. Are you still on a stock fuel pump, or are you going to upgrade/already upgraded it? I can't decide between going with a better drop in or doing the fuel cell/inline pump I've been wanting to do. Inline would work fine for me, but you still end up limited by the stock pump in the long run. Injectors are Delphi/Lucas 42#. I don't need fuel rails, but they will help with the clutter under the hood, and be much smoother flowing. Slowprocess 03-16-2005, 12:34 AM Ordering an intank Walbro 255 tonight. I don't need fuel rails, but they will help with the clutter under the hood, and be much smoother flowing. I wish the ls1s and the ls-style truck engines used the same intake manifold/fuel rail/injector size. If I bought a set of ls1 injectors(which are so much easier to find), I would have to put spacers under the fuel rail to raise it up, then I would have to buy electrical ends for ls1 injectors and replace the ends of my current setup. Just a pain in the a$$. Thank goodness for a few companies making injectors for the trucks(racetronix,Arizona Speed and Marine). They just cost too damn much!!! You're right about the limitations on the stock pump. The Walbro 255 is a really nice pump!!! chevytrucks92 03-16-2005, 12:36 AM Welp, now all you need is a nice pacifier or sippy cup to go with all that!! JUST J/K man! That's cool man. Can you say "stricter safety rules here I come????" LOL. I'm expecting my own "pile" tomorrow, however it will only the safety stuff (new belts and helmet). -The Stig- 03-16-2005, 12:47 AM kickass shoes! nice NADZ! setup too... I wanna see some track times! SiGNAL748 03-16-2005, 12:57 AM kickass shoes! nice NADZ! setup too... I wanna see some track times! Oooh pretty bottle! Psh, shoulda gotten a sneaky pete bottle and put it in your glove compartment or something slick. And perhaps they wouldn't see the NX symbols on the braided lines under your hood? No really, your pile > my pile, which for now consists of dirty laundry and a cool piston keychain... Playing myself, paaleeazzz...L8... chevydrummer76 03-16-2005, 08:33 PM the best mod by far has to be the shoes....with less weight and better aerodynamics those should knock off a half second at least. street_racer_00 03-16-2005, 10:40 PM Yep, half a second off his 200m time, and probably an entire second off his 400m time if he gets out of the blocks well and has an inside lane draw :D fearsomefairmont 03-17-2005, 01:33 AM Very subtle nitrous bottle. Good luck making it into the 11's. Those new Gen III small blocks are truly amazing. It makes the 455 in my Olds look like old technology (which it is!). But, you can't buy a truck like that for $2500! I will get a picture of my parts pile for my '78 Fairmont. Got lots of goodies, Edelbrock Dual quad manifold, MSD ignition, TCI converter, Hurst Shifter, 8.8 posi rear, etc. Just been collecting dust for 8 weeks till I get off on spring break to put her together (the joys of being a college student.... ) Don't get too greedy with your tune, keep her rich and make sure to have enough fuel pump. You probably already heard this, but it never hurts to hear it again. Weather is warming up, keep us posted with you ET's. Cheers vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
