I have a 2001 Grand Cherokee 4.7L which intermitently loosing power or stalling especially when driving in low rpm, the case is random so it is difficult to check with diagnostic tools. From the diagnostic tools everything OK, they've checked all the sensors but no malfunction shown, I am getting confused, pls if anyone would share the similar probs. and remedy I appreciated very much tks

Sorry to say but I have no definate answer for you. My friend has the same jeep with the same problem. She went to Advance Auto Parts and they said it was the speed sensor, she took it to jeep and they said crank and cam sensors. Both just don't go bad at the same time, there is a posibilltiy one could go bad and the other may think something is wrong. I'm going to have a look at it myself probably this weekend, I'll let you know what I find out.

Couldn't tell you for sure but it sounds like the CrankShaft Position Sensor (CPS) is going bad.

skr8pn, Thanks for your response, this afternoon I've replaced the CPS, drove several miles and seems the problem's gone, hope this solved my problem
