Alternator RF Signal

Hi,

I have a question about the charging system circuit of my car. My question is what should be the voltage reading of the Alternator RF Signal coming out of the Engine Control Module (I think this is the ECU)? My question comes from a problem I had with the alternator. After repairing my alternator the alternator charge light is still on (always) the repair shop told me that the alternator was ok and it is. The car is working and charging fine. The thing is the alternator light is always on......

Another electro mechanic told me that the problem could be caused by two issues:
1. Incorrect voltage regulator installed.
2. Incorrect Alternator RF signal voltage from the Engine Control Module

The voltage regulator has 4 pins and only three are functional in my car.

One has battery voltage when the switch is on position and in start.

The second one completes the circuit with the first one to light the alternator charge bulb if a malfunction occurs.

The other (alternator RF Signal) has 4.8 volts when the switch is on position and in start. This one comes from the ECU.



I want to check the option # 2 before buying or replacing any other part.

So if anyone has a Acura Integra LS 1990 and could check the voltage reading out of the Blue/White wire from the alternator’s multiple wire connector it would be of great help. ???
