I live on Salem OR and we got alot of riced out hondas.
As i was going down big Lancaster st i saw many ricer hondas but did not get the chance to race them(traffic) When traffic finally cleared i saw a 99 civic ex with duel guages on the pod. I thought "maybe this civic has turbo?" :screwy: Before i got chance to get by him he guns it. I did not hear his turbo spool or bov. He was like 1 car ahead of me when i down shifted to 3rd gear(45mph roll could go in to 2nd but did not need to :iceslolan ) By the time i got to 65mph he was 3 cars behind me. (his turbo prob fell off :icon16:) He tied to race me at 50 mph roll but same results. Then he turned left and i followed him. At about 20mph roll we both gun it. By the time i hit 70mph he is 5 cars behind me and i am walking away with ease. He gave up his stupid idea and went home. I thing his vtech never kicked in!
My mods:
Hallman ES boost controller
Greddy type s bov
Megan 3" Cat Back
3" downpipe
no cat
K&N Air cone with injen intake
Greddy upper and lower ic pipes
Greddy Turbo timer
Walbro 255lph fual pump
AR boost gauge
A/F gauge

Ahhhaaahahaha....uhhhhhh :disappoin It is spelled VTEC, not Vtech. But honestly I don't think you would give a rats ass because you are a DSM owner, correct? Good kill. I myself am a Civic owner. Just out of curiousity, how did you exactly know what year Civic it was? Because all 96-00 Look alike . Despite that fact, I'm just giving you a hard time because you gave one of my younger gens a hard time :). L8...

did you type this up when racing my eyes hurt now. civracer you should know there were small chages that are easy to spot outside on the 99-00 from 96-98

See I know that, but I was asking him if he knew that seeing is that he is a DSM owner and not a Civic owner. Unless he just happened to own a Civic himself. Not very many people can tell certain body styles from another unless they have owned them or actually know about them. Like I said, I'm just giving him a hard time for picking on the Civ owner . L8...

Most of the time it's either a Fuel/Temp, Water, Oil or Volt meter on those dual gauge pods. Just ricer equipment. But it's understandable you got fooled by it . L8...

That's cool. I think everyone pretty much has a little knowledge of Civics. They aren't that complex at all, and you can easily know a lot about them in little time. That's why I chose the car to work on. Plus for reliability and gas mileage. But other than that, I just like to tease people from time to time. Don't worry, I'm not getting after you . It's true, civics are very economical. My friends civic eats like 38mpg.
My talon eats alot of gas but it makes up in power.

The DSM's can give any car a hard time thanks to there great traction. Try racing some v8's. I've seen a Lingenfelter vette get behind a DSM off the line because he wouldn't quit roasting his tires.

But as soon as the tires caught it was over. By the way good job burning the honda.

thanks, but my talon is fwd not awd. Thats why i raced him from the roll.
I realy thought thet honda had turbo. Sometimes i sea completely riced out hondas(body kits, stickers all over, twin exhaust) and i just whant to teach them a lesson. I will try v8's as soon as i install my new big 16g with supporting mods(safc,550cc,ported axhaust mani, ported 02 housing)

Sooooo...... did then lingenfelter win??... because u did mention it was over. was it over for the vette, since the tires caught on way too late in the race?

and if so, still considering that the talon is only a 4BANGER it still has by FAR way more potential than the lingenfelter, u can only do so much to a maxed out vette built engine, that is built up to date with latest mods. While the talon has alot more u can do and surpass the lingenfelters capacity as far as Maxing it out. =D.

but then again it's all in the driver, and what they can do with it.

i'll be nice ("i got this!")

yes the lingenfelter won. i guess you dont realise how fast those vettes are. No, a talon 4 cyl will not have the advantage especially if we are talking the turbo vette (or is this a 383 vette)?

do some research on basic engine dynamics and you'll se why this is true.

thats amazing how we compare 4cyl dsm to vett that cost tons more.
you don't usually see 4cyl car being compared to vett. :grinno:
thats why dsm are special (to me atleast)

You didn't spell "realize" correctly so what makes me think you know what you have researched when your spelling and grammar are not very accurate. sooo.... Like I did mention on my previous Quote "you can't do much to a Maxed out Vette engine that has been modified to it's max potential and up to date. and.... your cant turbo charge that engine, that wouldn't be called a Muscle car any longer due to the fact that it's NO LONGER N/A LOL. so that would defeat the whole purpose of having an American Muscle Legendary Auto. It's still funny how u even bother to compare a 4 banger to a massive V8 Vette engine. That's amazing, so honestly you must REALIZE <---- "Spelled right" that the 4G63 engine is a fuckin bad ass engine when it comes to 4 cyl's.
I want Chevy to bust out a fuckin 4 cyl engine that can keep up to the 4G63 engines capacity level and potential level when it comes to modifying. .................................................. ...... thank you chevy dont got nothing like that. oh and the Cobalt Blows that shit is supercharged and still can beat my Natural Aspirated 94 Honda Civic EX with b18 GSR engine. lol now thats sad.
if you lose to a 175 hp engine thats N/A and you got a 200+ HP colbalt engine that's SUPERCHARGED? you automatically know your American 4 cyl SUCKS. >=D

One spelling error doesn't constitiute bad grammar.

Don't make dumb comments about one mistake someone made in their post when yours says.

First of all, it's you. Second of all, why can't you?

You must REALIZE that you are a moron, nothing more nothing less.

American muscle, all of a sudden you have the CORRECT answer to what that is, you need to hold a press conference and let everyone know, cause there are a lot of people who debate this who would like to know. American muscle is NOT just naturally aspirated engines, i'm assuming you know what a supercharger is since you mentioned one in your post, well believe it or not...and this may come as a surprise to you, but those N/A engines you were referring to, people did and still do put superchargers on them...i'll give you a moment to catch your breath.

Who says that vette engine is maxed out? You've obviously never heard the old adage that "a car is NEVER finished." Putting turbo's on a car doesn't mean that there isn't anything left to do, although i'm sure Lingenfelter souped it up pretty good, there's still shit you can do to the block and up.

Wanna know why Chevy makes AMAZING V8's? Because that's what they've done for over 50 years!! Why make 4 cylinders when they can make V8's that are stronger, lightwheight, make MORE power, and get the same if not better gas mileage than most 4 cylinder cars out there? Take the LS1's and LS2's for example, they've been known to get a little over 30 MPG on the highway. They dont have to BUST out a 4 cylinder engine.

A 4 Cylinder car is NOT American muscle...

Get your head out of your ass before you post again.

You are a disgrace to the 4g63t name. Go support something less respectable so you don't bring the name of a good engine down.
