Harmonic balancer replacement?

I have a '91 lesabre that needs the harmonic balancer replaced. How difficult is this to do? Thanks for any help!!

It is not that hard to do. Once the belt and pulley are off the balancer the next big thing to do is to take the centre screw out of the balancer. If you have an impact gun this will make it easy. If not you will have to stop the engine from rotating while you undo the screw. When you have the screw out you will need a balancer puller to pull it off. Be carefull not to damage the crank trigger sensor behind the balancer. Put the new one on the same way the old one came off, line the key way with the key and press it on. When it is on most of the way you can use the screw to pull it in the rest of the way. Next issue is to torque the screw to the proper ftlb. Same thing here you will have to stop the engine from rotating while the screw is tightened.

Take off the plastic cover back where the flywheel is and clamp or block the flywheel from turning there.
