'94 Ford Escort Replacement of Entire Wiper Arm

A recent snowstorm caused the driver side wiper arm of my '94 Ford Escort LX Wagon to snap at the base where the hinge allows it to bend. I examined the base and I can't tell whether the arm snaps off, unscrews or is bolted on somewhere underneath. Can someone tell me how to remove the driver side wiper arm? Prior posts discussed removing the blade; I need to replace the entire arm.

Open the hood.

At the base of the wiper arm there is a cap (plastic?) that you need to pop off (with fingernails or screwdriver).

You will see a nut to unscrew.

Then you will need to use a small puller (borrow for free from Autozone) to pull the wiper arm off.
