I have a 1986 Vw scirocco 8 valve. my transmition went out almost 3 weeks ago and is still sitting at the garage i can't find a good used transmition for the scirocco. Will any other transmitions work out of any other cars except for gulfs,rabbits, and jettas.

As long as it's from a VW 4cyl front wheel drive 80-95 model yes it'll work and bolt right on. I'd use one from a 93 16V just my preference.:smokin:

No offense to the OP, but not being able to find a tranny might have something to do with searching online for a "transmition" vs. a "transmission."
