I searched the forum and found no mention of this, so I figured I'd send out the post...

Alpine Developments Inc. (goofy South African company with an office in Garden Grove, CA) has developed an aftermarket supercharger kit for the X.

I called them and apparently they are in the final stages of development and will be selling the kit for $2995. When I called them, they were looking to borrow my car as a test vehicle in order to verify that their install instruction manual was accurate, and that the fit-up was perfect. All engineering is supposedly complete. Nothing on their webpage yet.

If interested send them an email or give them a buzz.

Hmm...I don't know why I would expect searching for the word "supercharger" in the entire Xterra forum and subfolders to work...

Oh well, at least now we know that the kit is very near release. Last time they were looking for a development tester while now they want a final fit-up check car. (that last thread was from more that a YEAR ago!)

PS The guy I spoke two a couple of weeks ago stated that the kit was making 230hp with ECU mods and prem. gas.

That's $75 per HP gained. STEEP! I guess if I wanted more horses out of my X, I just trade in for the 265 HP 05'.......... Drag that X up to Denver's thin air and it won't hit 230 HP. That's a fact. Good luck.

Chubbybubba1, how are you getting $75 per hp? I calculate $50-$60 per hp (not that that is much better!) depending on whether you assume you're starting with 170 or 180hp.

I have there super charger which is ok but the company sucks and I have had nothing but trouble from them. I would find someone else to get parts from , all they ever did to me was lie and delay
