87 toyota 4x4 22r rod bearings

I Just Started To Get A Knock Out Of My 22r At 148,435miles.is It Possible To Just Put A Set Of Rod Bearings In It?

Well......I don't exactly remember if anything is in the way of the oil pan, but i'm pretty sure it's possible. BUT, if you have bearings worn enough to cause a noticable knock, you're probably gonna have to have the crank turned and get some over-size bearings! OR the crank bearings could be the culprit! Either way, the crank's gotta come out! Sorry, that's not what you wanted to hear was it?

Ok Heres The Problem. I Have Put New Rod Bearings And Main Bearings,oil Pump,timing Kit And Gaskets In And I Still Have The Knock.the Oil Pan Had No Pieces In It And I Inspected The Rockers And There Fine. The Wrist Pins Are Good Also. Any Ideas????

Did you pull engine or replace bearings with engine in truck? Did you have crank turned and get oversize bearings? Now, you say "knock" Is this a steady noise in sync with the engine RPM's??? Are you sure you replaced thrust washers in number 3 main cap? Did you check crank shaft end play? what about rod end play?

I hate to say it but if you have a "knock", it's probably still bearing related or crank or rod had lot of wear and clearances are excessive!
