What did you use for a CAI?SniperX13 03-09-2005, 04:10 PM I am surious, what have any of you used to make a cold air intake for a 3.0 24v duratec? I looked at the short ram intake that for sale out there, from like http://www.draxas.com/ but I am not sure how well it would work, since it would still draw air in from the hot engine bay. any suggestions? ~Thomas drdisque 03-09-2005, 07:01 PM its pretty hard to do a true cold air intake on a taurus, especially a duratec since there's so little room and because of the battery. No matter how much the intake companies build it up, the difference between a short ram and a cold air intake is negligible. mwt 03-10-2005, 08:30 PM Actually it is pretty easy. The hardes part is getting a MAF adapter. Draxas is out of business as far as anyone can tell. MAF adapter. 3" aluminum tubing. Silincone adapter from MAF to tubing. 90 degree rubber elbow cone filter 4 clamps go to www.taurusclub.com Oh btw the bling is about the only good thing about it.
