Synchronizer

My sable started seemed like it was choking out when going up hills and then would continue on the flat. If you would it the gas it would be fine and then start again. The cam sensor was bad so it was replace as well as the sychronizer. Our mechanic just marked the old synchronizer before pulling it out and then replaced the new one the same way. Well the problem didn't get fixed but the light went out. I left the mechanic and about 2 miles down the road the light started blinking and the car started acting up again. We had hooked up to the computer again and the second cyclinder is misfiring. They have tried replacing plugs wires and coil pack and nothing. The only thing we can figure is that the synchronizer is not in correctly. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem????? Any help would be appreciated!!!!
