Advice: new tires for WRXMorilibus 03-08-2005, 03:03 PM Hello, Need to get some new summer tires for a 2002 subaru WRX wagon. The car used to be my fathers but now belongs to my mother due to a devorce. So top notch tires are not needed, just something reliable and affordable, so cheap as possible without sacrificing too much I guess. The old ones were Bridgestone p205, but not looking necesarily for a comparable tire, If I remember those were rather expensive. Again, this is just a vehicle for my mom to get to and from work in, she doesn't drive it like I would :) Any advice would be appreciated. drdisque 03-08-2005, 03:48 PM I would go with the Pirelli P6 FourSeasons. Decent all-weather tire that shouldn't hold the WRX's performance back that only costs $90 each. Morilibus 03-08-2005, 04:04 PM only thing is already have winter tires on steel rims for the car, so wouldn't getting all season tires be pointless? or would it still be worth it just to use as summer tires. I live in Calgary AB, Canada, and used to have just all season tires but wern't that great during winter, so we got winter tires for it. The old ones I mentioned were allseason aswell I think ,but we just used them for the summer for the last few years, but they've gotten pretty bald. So should one get allseasons justfor summer, or get just summer tires? Thanks for the advice. drdisque 03-08-2005, 10:35 PM if you're going to only use those tires in the summer, I'd recommend the Yokohama ES100, which are only $80 each in that size and are very good summer tires for the money. Morilibus 03-09-2005, 11:46 AM great, thx for the advice, I'll look into those. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
