So today I was in World History class, I over heard one of my friends talking to a class mate (who is also into cars), sayinh how he raced a Camaro SS. Thats all I heard, I didnt hear the results.Towards the end of class, I asked him about it. My conversation went something kinda like this.

Me: "Yea, I head you raced a Camaro SS.."
Him: "..Yea..."
Me: "I dunno dude, I think my granny car might be able to keep up with you"

Okay, so...who do you think could win? He has a 1998 Mustang GT (The slowest Mustang GT ever built mind you, although he denies that fact) 250 HP? Or lower even? I just know they werent impressive. He just has a MAC cold air intake, and its a 5 speed. I'm hoping he cant drive it too well. I have a 94 Thunderbird, which has my mods in my sig link. When we race, I'll definatley get it on vid. I think he would win, remember, the 4.6 in the Mustang always made more power than the 4.6 in the T-bird, and even if your mods get you to the same power level, you're hauling around about 600-700 lbs more than him. it takes a very bad mustang driver to run your best time.

Nope, not quite. The 96-97 Mustang GT's had 215 horsepower. It wasn't until 98 that they spruced it up to 225 horsepower. I know cause I use to have a 98 Cobra (It was a graduation gift from my dad).
Author I think you'll win. People sell automatics short. Most people can't drive for the life of them, let alone consistantly.

I hate Mustangs...well lets just say I hate Ford altogether...but Mustangs the most...but in this case I think he's got ya beat, not by much though, if he slips up you're good.

lol thanks for the info bud...now how could my 3S be a formula 350? thats a silly question...and if you think Chevy when you think Formula 350 then you definitely need to get some of your facts straight. I'll help ya out a little....3S = 3.0 (never 5.7L), and Formula 350 = Pontiac (never chevy). Nice try on being a smart ass though, apparantly algebra isn't the only thing ur not good at. ;)

I will be nice and do this one for you....the only "A4" that comes with a 2.7L V6 is the S4, and it's twin-turbo....puts out about 250 hp...you might be talking about the 2.8L I-6...actually, the 1.8T unchipped will put up a good fight to the 2.8L I-6 A4, because of the weight savings...a chipped 1.8T is faster than the 2.8L I-6...and if the chipped 1.8T in question is FWD and not AWD, it can ALMOST hang with the AWD S4, and will probably run doors with one from a roll...hope that answers your questions.

CamaroSSboy, that camaro is bad man. I own the same exact one in gran turismo4...got it down to a 10.50 1/4 with nitrous.

Alot of people just call Formula's, Firebirds. Definetly not as popular as the Trans Am's although a Trans Am is really a firebird. Its considered to be its own model.
