I'm back with a race and a few great storiesUnderground_Killah 03-07-2005, 12:23 AM I went to new orleans with my girl and her rents and family. Saturday morning i was on my way there when a 04 v6 tib pulled beside me. a lady in her 30's looked over and was all happy about the purchase. i go "nice tib" and she smiles and revvs a little. light goes green and she takes off like a bat out of hell... i'm up to 6k on first and 5.5 on second... i'm catching up... by third she's halfway ahead of me, and by 4th/od i'm passing her pretty quick. at about 85 (in a 40) i'm 2 in front and i let it off... she speeds ahead and throws on flashers and quickly turns, almost hitting a PARKED truck. anyway, on to NEW ORLEANS!!! we went in my car and followed the 9 members of her family / friends with their bikes, 6 harleys and 2 hondas, and a bmw.. (a very SWEET bmw might i add) her uncle paul in biloxi pulled next to a ricey crx at a light on the hwy. The crx starts revving pretty hard.. i begin to laugh and turn the cd to the honda bashing song... you all know the one. he revvs back. *harley with exaust upgrade and engine work* pretty loud... actually VERY loud. light goes green and her uncle takes off, so does the CRX... but it was funny, after 1st, he was blocks ahead of him. it's like the crx didn't wanna even try. We get to new orleans 6 hours later (because of some minor setbacks... ie..."let's take interstate... no, let's take highway... let's not tell BILLY anything!!!!" I learned a few things in the big NO. 1. There are NO RICERS there. every car i saw was either a clunker or a benz or a vette. only high high cars or some very crappy ones. 2. NO smells like piss. 3. it's very very dangerous at night, i had a knife on me the whole time because i honestly didn't feel safe. 4. walking everywhere sucks so much ass. on the way back nothing happened either because there were cops plastered everywhere. but i'm back now... where's my welcome!!!?!?!? dampachi 03-07-2005, 12:26 AM Welcome back man!!!!!!! Glad you had fun! ...or so it sounds. Underground_Killah 03-07-2005, 12:34 AM yea i had alot of fun, i took pictures, i'll up them sometime tomorrow after class... you gotta see this bmw though, i fell in love with it, and i'm gonna drive a harley soon too (i wanna ride a motorcycle so much now) i3o2Matt 03-07-2005, 12:37 AM welcome back man dampachi 03-07-2005, 12:37 AM Was it an M3 or what? Underground_Killah 03-07-2005, 12:51 AM good question... i'll upload the pics tomm and let some of the ppl here decide... cause i didn't ask, all i know is the features, which are better than my car street_racer_00 03-07-2005, 01:22 AM I went to NO about 9 years ago during christmas...it's pretty safe at night as long as you stay in the French Quarter...it's a great place to visit, I wouldn't mind going back sometime. speedthrill 03-07-2005, 08:08 AM welcome back :smokin: Underground_Killah 03-07-2005, 09:17 AM well i was on burboun street at night... (if you know where that is of course) and it's not safe at all. across from the riverwalk we saw a guy who was laying completely still with a pillowcase wrapped around his head rather tightly.... i don't think he was alive, he didn't show signs of breathing or movement...and i wasn't about to go up to him and poke him or something... just too creepy for me. we did have some crazy people who looked like unibombers walking together, and 2 "gangsters" talking about how hot my girl was and when they were talking i turned around and put my hand in my coat pocket... shut em up :) (didn't have a gun but it doesn't hurt to bluff a little) the french quater is cool though, i'll give it that much, it doesn't smell as much like piss like bourbon street does, but at the same time, everything is so expensive and the people on the streets are kinda wierd (except the guy who's dog will put a dollar in the bucket... that dog is cool) Underground_Killah 03-07-2005, 09:20 AM also on the news that night they had 6 stolen car stories... i'm glad i had the car parked safely in the hotel's gated parking. (dad warned me about that, cause in NO it's one of the most car stealing cities in the states) xXxRocker5150 03-07-2005, 02:21 PM welcome back, glad your car's okay street_racer_00 03-07-2005, 03:44 PM also on the news that night they had 6 stolen car stories... i'm glad i had the car parked safely in the hotel's gated parking. (dad warned me about that, cause in NO it's one of the most car stealing cities in the states) If you think NO is bad, take a trip to Johannesburg, S.A....they have no shame about carjacking you in broad daylight there. Underground_Killah 03-07-2005, 09:51 PM I was going to post alot of pics, but i'm lazy and decided only the few that i thought were worth putting up... http://www.majinarmy.com/images/meinthej.jpg of course this is me, your hero (sorry civ... but there can only be one true hero...) http://www.majinarmy.com/images/linedup.jpg all the bikes that we took on the trip lined up together http://www.majinarmy.com/images/BMWcloseup.jpg and finally a close up on the BMW that i fell in love with.
