What type of truck do you prefer?

I guess i depends. Right now I want a Reg cab, long bed, 2500HD 4x4(maybe diesel). I also like the 1500 crew cabs and ext cabs. 4x4 no matter what.

I guess that falls under the catagory of "Wants and Needs, Wants and Needs, never can get it right!" No wonder my mother never gave me many choices.... :banghead:

I would love to have a Quadrasteer in a crew cab. But then again I am lucky to have the toy the bank still owns. :grinno:

Who wasthe Sportside owner? What is your setup, LS, LT, EXT Cab, REG Cab, 5.3, what?

My ultimate truck would have:
Standard cab for shorter wheelbase so I don't get hung up on hills
Long bed so I can fit more stuff in
4x4 for offroading and snow

now... if I could have 2 trucks, I'd go crew cab, long bed, 4x4 on one, and standard cab, short bed, 4x4 on the other. I use my truck and a half (I've got an s-10 too, that's the half truck :)) as trucks. Anyone who tows/hauls with their truck will eventually need 4x4 at some point.

I'm kinda bias on this one. It would really all depend on what I was going to use the truck for, but most know what mine does. :biggrin:

yea, it would definetly depend on what i would want it for.... you got the work truck, the pimpin truck, the sporty truck, and then the off-roading truck. all of which are different. I know a few of you might bust my balls and say trucks arent made for being sporty or for pimpin, but they definetly can be.

So it looks like there should have been 2 different pols:

1) What do you curently own.
2) What is the next truck you would like to own.

Is that more like it??????

My ideal truck is the one I own, 6.5 turbo diesel,4x4, ex-cab short bed.Got Torque?

I personally would like a 6.0L, crew cab, custom paint(a silver/blue combo), stock floor bd drop, bags", on 22's", probably 15" Brembo's in the front, smaller in the back probably. 4 captains chairs inside, with two-tone style italian leather with color stitching, a dash taken out of a completely different car(have an idea, but wanna keep it on the low), and a crazy front end removed from the same car as the dash. Had this idea since like 98 or so, thought of it while a junior in high school. Custom console all the way through, tv's in it and other cool stuff.

I'd want a Hummer. Not an H2. A HUMMER!!! Preferably with a manual tranny, since we're dreaming anyway. A/C, no. Stereo.......Maybe. Big meaty tires.......................ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!

I spent a lot of time and effort deciding on what truck I wanted (and needed). The truck I would like - and the truck I bought are the same. Just yesterday the wife and I went out on a day trip. The choice of truck was demonstrated all that day:

I hauled purchased items about 100 miles.
I had to pass someone in a tight situation so the 345 hp kicked in nicely - even fully fully loaded with considerable floor tile and building items.
I wanted comfort, space, and good mileage (got 20.8 on the highway).

My truck - 2 wd. LS ext. cab 2004 with 345 hp 6 liter engine and performance suspension/tires/wheels.

I have 99' White Silverado Reg. Cab 2WD with locking rear end

Next Truck. Black Silverado Ext. Cab Z71 lifted
