8psi max is what I've heard is safe. Check the Cylinder conpression and fuel system before running any type of Forced Induction.

You can run up to 11psi wit the proper air charge cooling and have it last.

bwaaaaaaahahahaha @ skyline

there are waaaaaaaay too many factors to determine safe boost... 8 psi is usually a good figure... you gotta think about fuel octane, timing, air charge temp, compression... and once you get past all that, most stock bottom ends with a stock damper dont' live past about 500 horse, then you'll be prepping a shortblock.

I'm not fat I'm festively plump....Sorry, I had to say that...Anyway, about the Mustang, it really depends on how it's tuned (lean or rich), what gas you use, how much timing you run, whether or not you have an intercooler, how often are you going to nail the gas etc...But yeah, about 10-12 psi is about the most I would do. Just today I was talking to a guy that has a 96 Mystichrome cobra, and he's boosting 15 pounds on a stock bottom end, then again the car is running SUPER rich. By no means am I saying I would do it, but it's worth pointing out. By the way, the car runs 11.40 @ 120-122.
