Im new here i just got a acura integra type r and modded it real good and i want to start drag racing. But i got a couple of questions. first how do i have a quick start when i start a race with manuel. How do u double clutch and will it help me move any faster, and should i get a nos tank, if so what kind can i hide in my car easily. thanks.

remember people once had to double clutch to first gear when cars didn't have synchronizers in the tranny to first. but hey people still double clutch to downshift in auto crossing. but i got a question too. how do you double clutch upshifting? i mean like the step by step. i know you double clutch when you downshift by puttin it in neutral then increase the rpm. then re engauge the clutch and downshift a gear. but how do you do it while upshifting?

i rev-match my downshifts about 50% of the time just cuz its easier on the transmission (and it looks cool :D ) but on the upshift??? not necesarry on a modern car with synchros. people still do it in tractor mud-pulls though. thats kinda like a drag race (except youre in the mud and pulling a big heavy weight)

Too bad you don't have my DOHC LS/VTEC DVD player, it will destroy your SOHC VTEC VHS off the line and just keep pullin away.

BTW - I have TWO type R's - my '96 Huffy Type-R (w/ 18 speed manual - i usually quadruple clutch it when i'm at the drag strip), and my '94 JDM Odyssey Type-R (i once beat a CR5 with it AND i had 6 passengers in the car and a trunk full of groceries!!!) ...HAHAHAHA, you all will bow to my vehicular supremacy!

You guys don't know what fast is. My twin turbocharged 8-track hemi will blow your vtech DVD's and VHS's away. You are no mach for old american muscle 8-track.

And you type-R huffy pales in comparison with my Nike's with NOS stickers. And by the way in my Nike's I don't quadruple cluch because they have a sequential.

my cd player has 2 really big nos bottles and a motec system exhaust.

as some famous musicians would say, "ive got enough nos in there to blow MYSELF up!"

but i have this habit that when i change radio stations, i granny-tune, not double-tune like i should. which one time caused my laptop to say "damage to wiring harness." for some strange reason my dash mounting kit then shot all the washers out of it then fell on the floor. but when my friend got in and tried to change stations, it was all working perfectly again.

Why not get two bottles that way you can go faster... you know more NAWWSSSS is always better. :rolleyes:

how about just fill your gas tank with nos and forget about regular gas? you would go so fast, it would be unbelievable...same as top fuel cars running on nitro!
and maybe put some gas in just in case the cops bust you and your phat ryde and they wanna smell your tank to make sure it's petrol.

Why not just put 100% nitro on the gas tank and watch the pistons bust through the block.

Damn , the guy is a joke , now matter how much rice you are , how unknowledgable you are , and how many times you watch f&f you won't ask about double clutching for upshiftin'

They little man only wants help and here it is.

I just put a venom nos system on my toaster and when i dbl cluth, upshift and then hit the happy button, it pops the toast like a mother.
If you do this you will be gettin great times not only on the track but in the kitchen as well.
I guess that wasnt helpful but i hope it was funny.

this cousin of my friends friend has a turbo toaster, running 34 psi of butter, man that thing will stick the toast to the ceiling if u dont hit the purge valve at the right time.

that thing can out-toast any "ford svt toaster r" or "chevy toaster ss" or "pontiac toaster ws6" any day, power to the import toasters!

They only problem i seem to have is when i shift into 3rd the dial on the side gets knocked out of whack because of all the g forces it pulls and them my toast gets burnt. I'm puttin a new set of street slicks on it and also im going with a 100 shot of nos as opposed to the 50 im runnin now.

Whatever your import toasters pale in comparison with my domestic GE microwave paired with a blower. It can do a 1/4 pound in 9.3 sec. Lets see your import toasters do that HA!!!

That does sound nice but toaster vs. microwave i dunno, I love the toast and as far as i know toast is not toast in a microwave WHAT WOULD IT BE CALLED?
