Windshield Wiper Problems

I have a 94 and 99 GM, with both cars I have problems with the windshield wipers cleaning the windows. They don't seem to make good contact with the windshield, especially at highway speeds I've tried several types both cheap and expensive. It doesn't matter what the weather conditions or temperatures are. Even on a sunny day just washing the windows the problem occurs.
Any thoughts?

I have found that Bosch makes the best wipers.
(I have tried them all!)
If you have tried these and they still do not work the only thing I can think of there are aftermarket wiper arms with blades that do have a small wing on them. The air flow keeps the wiper plastered to the windshield. They are a little ugly looking but shop around there might be some that are not so bad.
