THis is the piece with the woven/braided stainless joint in it. ANyone have a source to replace this? I boogered it up with some sheet aluminum and clamps but the weaving continues to deteriorate and is leaking exhaust. Have researched and cannot find a source outside of the dealer netowrk. Anyone know where I can find one? Barring that, best dealer to purchase from?
I tried to search this topic here but came back empty, can't believe that.
Thanks,
Darwin
PS, thanks to all who posted info on starter problems/solenoid contact replacement. Worked like a charm.

Common weak point on 1998+ rodeos. The only other way around this is have an exhaust shop fab you one. The flex joints themselves are standard off the shelf parts. A good exhaust shop can easily make any part you need for a fraction of the cost of OEM. The problem is finding a good exhaust shop! Keep your eyes/ears open. They are out there!

JUst have them set up two flanges and weld the flex joint in between two bent pipes? With moveable flanges and flex joint anything close should be made to fit OK? Hell of it is I'd have to have the vehicle out of commision for two days or so and its still snowing like hell here. Was hoping to find a reasonable replacement and throw it on some night.

This isn't it, but I didn't think Calimini made such a thing.

You got it. It will probably be better than OEM as well. I hear ya about the snow. Has not stopped here (Buffalo NY area) for a few days :banghead:

"I'm in the middle of a new exhaust install on my 2.6 Trooper. Just got the Calmini header on last night, now to install the new catco cat and the dynomax muffler (I got the Ultra flo welded 17216)
I went with 2-1/4" pipes. I'll post back here with my results. I'm waiting on delivery of my new flexpipe from JCwhitney. Stainless steel flex pipe for 32 bucks! Cheapest place I could find it (Thanks Tad from www.planetisuzoo.com)"
