I have an 89 944 and need to replace my flywheel rubber damper. Is there a shortcut to installing it in an automatic instead of tearing everything down (it looks like)??? I sure could use the help. Thanks. also: erwinmtk@hotmail.com

I do have a good used one. However, its still in the car. I believe I bought it from vertex last Nov. for $750.00. Let me know if you are interested and we can make arrangments.

Thanks 930guy, I bought a new one for $725. Trying to install it, don't know if I need to keep the retaining clip and 1/2" bushing after the splines. Can you help?

I didn't reuse it-and I helped a friend that had an auto and his car didn't have one on it. I don't see the purpose.

Having a 944 with an auto tranny is grounds for being banned, and I'm taking names! :nono:

You have to take the tranny off it's mounts, and move the whole assembly back while supported on a jack.
