how do you post the picture of your car in the thread typing area?

You first have to upload any pic you want to post onto an image hosting website. I use www.tinypic.com. Its extreemly easy to use. As long as its a .BMP or .JPEG image, it'll work fine. Once the image is sucessfully uploaded, it will give you the URL and IMG address's. To post the image itself, copy and past the address into your text box. You may also want to copy the address into a Word document or somthing for future use.

URL: it will give you the address in the form of a link in your post.
IMG: it will post the the picture itself.

That has worked for me, so reply or IM me if you got other questions.

I understand this forum has a photo gallery, which I've used before, but as far as I can tell, the way to actually GET to it has been hit and miss. For instance, the only way to get to it that I've seen is by composing a new message and at the bottom it says:
"Upload Images" / "You may upload images to your personal photo gallery. Click here (http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/uploadphoto.php)

I can see it right now as I type below this window, but it doesn't show up when I try to compose a new message in the Impreza forum (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=63).

The first time I looked for this feature, I spent about 20 minutes poking through the User CP. That's where I think it should go, anyway...

I had better luck using the tinypic.com site to upload pics from my computer, and then upload the pics from tinypic to your post, sig, etc. I haven't had any luck with the photo gallery on this site. I keep getting error messages when I try to upload.
