Could there be a hydraulic problem? The switch should be over the pedal. dmbrisket 51 03-02-2005, 11:21 PM pull the e break release and pull on on the peddle, if that doesn't work, put vice grips on the e break line (outside of frame on drivers side) and take a hammer and hit it towards the rear end, if that dont work, or better yet, chech the wire connections first, follow it all back to the switch, not sure of its location smokey041369 03-03-2005, 08:48 AM if you apply the brake and the engine idle gets rough (in park) then you may have a bad vacuum booster look at the master cylinder where it mounts to the vacuum booster on the bottom and see if there is wettness there, if so you have worn out seals in the master cylinder if not one of these then you have to find the place where the leak is and repair it ALMB~Nova 03-04-2005, 06:41 AM the wire for the emergency brake is on the rear of the pedal. should be a single wire. unplug it see if the light goes out. if it does its the switch, if it does't, you have other problems maspoon 03-06-2005, 02:43 AM make sure the brake fluid is full vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
