carsponsorships.comigkyoa 03-02-2005, 07:43 PM has anyone heard of carsponsorships.com? i applied and they gave me a sponsorship is it for real or are they trying to trick me into giving them money? CivicSpoon 03-02-2005, 08:10 PM You will never pay for a real sponsorship. They will just give you a sponsorship for decalkits.com (or something like that). And they jack up their prices and sell stuff to you for a price you could easily find for cheaper online. It's a rip off. The only way to really get sponsored is to have stuff done to your car already and contact real companies. There are a ton of threads about this on this site and all over the internet. 7camaro7 11-16-2005, 07:35 PM You will never pay for a real sponsorship. It's a rip off. The only way to really get sponsored is to have stuff done to your car already and contact real companies. There are a ton of threads about this on this site and all over the internet. You just gave false information my man. I'm sponsored by these guys and they're great. 1st in the contract they give you they tell you that if you find ANYTHING cheaper any where else that they will fix it. I've never had a problem with them cooperating with me. One time I actually did find someone who had a cheaper price but it was only my like $20 and I told Carsponsorships.com about it and they fixed it. They do have a partnership with Decalkits.com, BUT the decals are free (if!) you recieve the full sponsorship. The $89 goes to Carsponsorships.com for FINDING companies that will sponsor you and PLUS its a one time only fee. There are two different kinds of sponsorships, full and quasi, full is free and quasi is a major discount. You never deal with jacked up prices, EVER. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/688687 That's my cardomain page if you want to see how they've helped me. and here's a link for Carsponsorships.com http://www.carsponsorships.com/scout/sponsor.php?id=2358 They worked for me and other people I know and if you've got any questions about them my name is Lionel Pitts and my email address is bling_til_it_stings@hotmail.com peace, Lionel Pitts CivicSpoon 11-16-2005, 08:33 PM Ok...still, it's not a full sponsorship. I guarentee you can find any of the products from them, cheaper or the same price online elsewhere; if you know where to look. Plus most of the stuff they give you a sponsorship for is junk no name crap. If I wanted junk parts and decals, I'd shop at Pep Boys (and they won't charge me $89 for just shopping there). 7camaro7 11-16-2005, 10:43 PM Ok...still, it's not a full sponsorship. Yes IT IS a full sponsorship if that is the one they award you. I DO have a full sponsorship with decalkits.com. I don't pay them a dime. And the decals are not junk. They are pretty thick for decals and they have awesome designs. $89 is a small price to pay for an agency to find a company to award you with $500 of free decals. The $89 goes to carsponsorships. ONE TIME FEE! Now you have $500 worth of decals that look great and they don't cost you a dime. Where can you get those cheaper? Huh? I have a quasi-sponsorship from Blaupunkt and they give me some major discounts. You said that if you know where to look you can find anything cheaper. I'M THE KING OF FINDING STUFF CHEAPER! I'm a college student. I looked for and found the cheapest price for everything I put on my car without sacrificing quality or what I wanted. I got exactly what I wanted at the cheapest places to get it from and I got it all new. Buying these things any cheaper would mean that you're probably getting it used. Look man you can be scared and not have an open mind about things like most people do or you can be a risk taker like me. I'm trying to tell you about them with my first hand experiences and if you don't want to listen, thats cool too. Think their companies sell junk if you want to. I don't put junk on my Camaro. They do a screening process to ya know, and that makes sure the owners of these vehicles have the right attitude. Even if you want to be sponsored the person would have to have great ideas, a car(nothing specials), goals, trustworthiness, and the right attitude. Also if you ever have a problem with ANYTHING they break their back to make sure their "Sponsored" are taken care of. I KNOW! CivicSpoon 11-16-2005, 11:19 PM I see what you're saying. I guess it's just that I'm more into spending $ on functional or performance products instead of visual mods. Not into big stereo systems, decals on my car, extra or lighting. And no I wasn't talking about finding used parts for cheaper, I'm talking new products. If I really want something, I'll spend an entire day until I find the cheapest price (from a reliable place of course). I'm not even talking about using E-bay either. And any time I've ever read or heard about carsponsorship, I've only read about maybe 2 people getting turned down. They do infact take just about anyone. So I guess it could be ok for some people, just only if you're into making a show car/show car like vehicle. Schister66 11-16-2005, 11:29 PM all show, no go.....that's not good! Me want fast! Decals do not add hp...:grinyes: 7camaro7 11-16-2005, 11:37 PM I see what you're saying. I guess it's just that I'm more into spending $ on functional or performance products instead of visual mods. In your situation with a civic I believe you'd be in a better position with performance parts and wheels than me. They deal with performance companies that mainly make import vehicle performance products. The same goes for wheels. I don't use their products for performance and I won't be using their wheels. I'm just using it for what it's worth. I've got awesome neons, awesome decals, and I will be getting awesome audio equipment soon. They also have connections to suspension companies that I may connect with later. Also they have Dunlop tire Sponsorships, but I need to get rims first 7camaro7 11-16-2005, 11:51 PM all show, no go.....that's not good! Me want fast! Decals do not add hp...:grinyes: Decals (if done right) help win car shows though. I'm not slow right now either way. My first major performance mod will be a nice dangerous turbo(not the usual turbo).:loser: CivicSpoon 11-17-2005, 12:09 AM No, I wouldn't want any performance products or wheels from them. I'm not into big wheels, that's why I have 15" Rotas that weigh very little compared to most aftermarket rims. And I'm only interested in parts that are from well known and proven companies. And personally if I wanted my car to have some crazy design on the outside, I'd have it painted. To each their own. 7camaro7 11-17-2005, 12:19 AM No, I wouldn't want any performance products or wheels from them. And personally if I wanted my car to have some crazy design on the outside, I'd have it painted. To each their own. This is where you keep going wrong man. You keep stereotyping them. They've got wheels for your car, they aren't selling 80lbs 22's to put on your civic. Just like I said before, they are for IMPORTS. I just remembered, the company is wheelsnext.com. Those wheels would look a lot better on your car than mine. The companies that they deal with are big as they get! They freakin deal with companies that make turbos for you car man! They deal with companies that make lightweight flywheels and all that. Right now for you... they have dunlop for tires, b+g suspension, Some flywheel company(I don't remember the name because I have an automatic), wheelsnext for wheels for you. The have the hook up with verticaldoors.com too!(they make the real lambo kits that are virgin steel and I KNOW you can't get these cheaper anywhere else.) You said you spend a day looking for stuff you want at cheaper prices, when I don't have the $$$ I spend from 6months to a year until I've got a load saved up then I just go spending. That's why I did most of my work this year. CivicSpoon 11-17-2005, 01:56 AM If you look on that wheelsnext site, they only sell 17" or bigger. 17" are too big for performance. For a turbo kit, I'd rather build my own and really save $, as well as get all the parts (and correct turbo size) that I want. Other than that (with the exception of Dunlop tires), the rest doesn't appeal to me. I'm not stereotyping them at all, I'm just calling it like I see it. The company is for show cars with minor performance modifications. That's what some people like to go for, but not me. I'd rather have a clean looking car with the majority of my $ put into performance. 7camaro7 11-17-2005, 09:28 AM If you look on that wheelsnext site, they only sell 17" or bigger. 17" are too big for performance. I'd rather have a clean looking car with the majority of my $ put into performance. How fast is your civic? 17's are not too big for performance as long as they're not heavy. I'm going to put aluminum 19's on mine. For the turbo kit, if you can build it thats real cool, but I bet mine will be better;) I'm going to have mine built for my car too. It will cost me but it'll be worth it. And the sponsorship company is not just for people with minor modifications. :screwy: :nono: The company is for people who show and race who have the personality to promote products. I always wanted neons. Not really bad, but I still wanted them. I got a major discount on them and have lots of fun with them. Hopefully by next year they'll pick me up for a full sponsorship. You've got to start some where man, I had a pretty good start before I joined. I had the body kit, hood, tint, power antenna added, exhaust work and a lot of other stuff before I joined. The extra power I want will come later too. The engine I have isn't too bad like it is until I get that turbo $$$. I say since you want to be fast you might as well look good until you get there. Schister66 11-17-2005, 10:55 AM Decals (if done right) help win car shows though. I'm not slow right now either way. My first major performance mod will be a nice dangerous turbo(not the usual turbo).:loser: OK well you and your dangerous turbo have fun.....and stay out of trouble... You can have your decals because if that's the difference in winning shows or not, i'd rather lose. My car stays decal free w/ the exception of the DOHC VTEC emblems on the sides... Shows are boring anyway.....drag strips and auto x is where the fun is! 7camaro7 11-17-2005, 12:12 PM OK well you and your dangerous turbo have fun.....and stay out of trouble... DOHC VTEC :loser: :grinno: :lol2: CHEVY POWER BABY! CivicSpoon 11-17-2005, 02:45 PM My car isn't fast, it's slow as hell. I bet a 3 cylinder Geo Metro would beat me in a ¼ mile race. I haven't done really anything to my car, because I want to save up and do it all at once to minimize the down time. For a FWD Civic, 17's are too big. Even if there wre rims that came in 15's and 17's, both were insanely light, I'd still go with the 15's (because they'll still be lighter). My Rota Slipstreams weight 11.9 lbs and cost around $400-450 (well I paid $200 used), if you can find me a set of 17's that weigh that little and don't cost over a G; let me know. For the turbo kit, if you can build it thats real cool, but I bet mine will be better;) I'm going to have mine built for my car too. It will cost me but it'll be worth it.See that's the difference, I'd rather put the time into finding the parts myself than to have someone else throw a kit together for me. So instead of build a full kit for $3,000, I'll get all the parts I actually want and only pay about half that (and still gain the same power or even more). You can think what ever you want man, but I'm not going to even bother to explain to you any more after reading this on your cardomain page: Future Mods a.k.a. *To-Do List*... Purge Kit and Spray NoS out of my Hood From The Four Scoops in the Back of it Oh and Page 4, you're little ricer x-mas song... Pretty ironic coming from a Ricer like you. I believe only real ricers would take offense to something like that. I think the nos out of the hood thing is cool, just like you think saving every ounce of weight for racing. I bet you even skip meals before you race other civics don't you? (that was a joke don't get mad) and when you talk, I think you always speak out of ignorance(no joke) YOU'RE CONSTANTLY BASHING SOMETHING YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. I'm not having someone throw me a turbo together like you said and I'm not going to waste my time building my own. No, I'm going to have mine installed by professionals who already perfected it. and I don't care how jacked up a Camaro may look to you, Original American Muscle will never be rice. Now civic?*? I'm not going to go there. You can bash ME and my Camaro all you want to, but WE'VE GOT STYLE and PERFORMANCE. Me and my car are both original. We make the world go 'round! You my friend, blend into the crowd people who like to stay in the dark hole and refuse light. Ooohhh Light bulbs(<that's me) I hate those(<that's you) never mind man, I was just trying to inform you about carsponsorships.com... Anyone for a class action law suit??? Anyone else been scammed??? :banghead: seasonalskier2006 09-16-2006, 04:31 PM Well you have fun w/ your dangerous turbo, gay ass camaro w/ decals, bottle of KY jelly and your dad.....you fuckin ricer I am sorry to say, while yes camaros arnt personally my first choice (mustang lover for life!!!), they will NEVER be a ricer, ricers are foreign cars, not american muscle, ricers have loud mufflers commonly called fart cans. American muscle, is raw hp, and they are an aggressive sound not a obnoxious blaring noise. Another thing, the "professionals" are yes better at the SPECIFIC part that they are making, sometimes with some work you can take parts and make a much better turbo than a professional would do because they think on a small scale not seeing the whole picture. Nothing against em, you have to remember the professionals want to mass produce this stuff with the least amount of broken or faulty parts, if you make your own, you dont have to worry about the errors of mass production, so his "gay ass camaro" would probably leave your imports crying on the side of the road :naughty:. More over, you have proved you are a ricer by getting so upset that you are forgetting the most important rule, only ricers dream of ky and gay sex with their fathers!! and to 7camaro7 i love the car, what kind of hp does that pump out? And just so you know, carsponsorships, are very unfair to people who do not have a good looking car to start with, your results are very good while most people cant get a sponsorship because they are either being to ricer, or just dont have the car to do it. i am not saying that i am against them, i am just saying be realistic people, i drive a 94 taurus wagon, i dont expect anyone to even look at my car, while yes, i have BADASS ideas for it, no one would sponsor it because it has that bad rep thing. (If anyone of you rich people want to help me out with it i would be appricative :grinyes: ) I would love to jump on and get someone to make my car look like it does in my head, but you people have to be realistic. They want max profits for minimal expence, so if they would have to completly rebuild your car, they wont give you crap except a bill. And to all you ricers out there, NO ONE LIKES A RICER! BUT EVERYONE LOVES AMERICAN MUSCLE!!!! Remember to keep at least 2 wheels on the ground 7camaro7 :iceslolan ! And keep dreaming of winning ricers! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
