I chose to buy a set of Nitto P285's for my Tundra and have been dissappointed. I feel like the truck sways at higher speeds (65+). I should have gone with the BFG's but the price difference was about $45 a tire.

The tire company told me to give the tires more time to "break in." I have 1000 miles on them now and still the same problems.

Anyone have any similar occurrences?

Please let me know what you think,

Thank you!

The first thing I would do is check the inflation pressure.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the details, but the placard on your vehicle should tell you what the inflation pressure should be for the original tire size. Let us know what both of those are and perhaps we can determine what inflation pressure would be appropriate.

The other item is the width of the rim. You didn't tell us the complete tire size, and it looks like any 285 takes at least an 7 1/2" wheel. The original wheels are 7". That might be what the problem is.

Also are your sure they are P metric? Makes more sense if they are LT metric.

Hope this helps.
