1993 JGC Headlamp removal and replacementdrjack99 03-01-2005, 07:12 PM Left headlamp seems to be hanging loose, right one is foggy and needs to be replaced. Someone obviously replaced the left headlamp and turn signal assemblies after a minor fender bender. Now I have the pleasure of replacing the right one. Just purchased the headlamp ($116) and can't figure out any way to remove the old one. I don't remember ever having such a problem before. Am I just stupid? (well, maybe I am, but that's no help!) Any info you can offer would be appreciated. mikec041 03-02-2005, 10:48 AM No your not stupid, The design is. Just grab the lens on each side and pull The lens is held in place with a few ball and socket connectors. Don't do it in the cold the plastic sockets become brittle. put a little lube on the balls before you put the lens back in it'll make it easier to install. drjack99 03-02-2005, 04:21 PM No your not stupid, The design is. Saved me a lot of headaches and maybe unnecessary expense. It popped out fairly easily once you explained it (and before I destroyed something) Now I have to figure out what the previous owner screwed up on the other head lamp. Maybe something just as simple. He probably knew about as much as I did! Not much. Thanks again!!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
