exhaust smell, light smoke

heavy gas smell from tail pipe, light white smoke and rotten egg smell upon start-up. Lasts for about 10-15 min then pretty much goes away. 75,000 miles runs smooth and quiet. Any thoughts? 99 GMC Suburban SLE.
