I have a 92 dx (d15b7) anyway i just got a timming light so i check the timmig. wow the timming is way off its half way between the 3 lines and the TDC line. so i move the dizzy toward the radiator and it moved closer to the 3 lines but it is still off. By the way before i moved the dizzy the car drove like shit it would back fire like crazy and the steering wheel would shack like nutz, but now there is little back fire and the wheel shack a bit.I want to know if i have to reset the timming to TDC or 15deg. before TDC and how to do it ?

Haynes manuel is your best friend for these common problems.

it should also tell you what is OEM timeing, or there should be a sticker (sometimes) in your engine bay with the correct settings.

Did U Set Your Car To Base Timing And Have The Engine Warmed Up?and Is Your Timing Gun Set To 15 Degrees? Or 0 Degrees?

Make sure you disable the ECU before doing anything with the timing. If you don't the ECU will keep fighting you and automatically advance or retard as needed.

you mean dont forget to jump the wires when adjusting the timing.

i did forget to jump the ecu so do i put the dizzy back where it was(i marked the stock location), then jump the ecu then move it again, o yeah the timming dosen't have a dial on it to retard or advance

Yes, jump the ECU near the passengar kick panel.
"o yeah the timming dosen't have a dial on it to retard or advance" Are you about the timing gun? No need for that to be adjustable, that is what the marks on the pully is for.

pretty sure u retarded the timing by rotation the top toward the radiator. if u look at firing order of the wires on the dizzy, it is clockwise when looking directly across the car from the tranny side. by turning the dizzy clockwise u r delaying when the rotor "strikes" the terminals for each plug wire. thus retarding the timing. if u want to advance it, turn the dizzy toward the firewall.

ok thanks for the correction, but if i turn the dizzy away for the radiator the car almost dies.It looks like the car's timing was set to 8degrees TDC not 15 before i did anything
