Can I take out tht air box with the stock intake on. Its just soo big and bulky. Is there anything I need to kknow when taking it out. Would the filter stay in there by it self.

And since im here I have another question. Im gettin a apexi n1 catback soon. I was wondering If it will fit all the headers, Cause im planing on upgrading tht in the future
What do you get first, the 18's or gettin the car lowered

Do not take off the whole air box, just cut a whole in it. If you take the whole thing out then you will be sucking in hot air from your engine bay. You will also want to take out a few of the air resistors in the air piping, that will help air flow.
As for the lowering or the 18's? I would say don't get 18's they are pretty big and will start to cost you power (at least that is what other dsmers around town have told me). And I would say go for lowering first, as long as it is done properly.

or you can replace the air box with an adaptor and cheap $10 air filter..
cat backs dont fit to the headers. they mount to the cat. hence the term cat-back. if you plan on upgrading your DP you might run into some problems with specific vendors. Apexi dp's and evo3 o2 housing dont like each other for example.

18's do not cost you power, they only add weight. and that all depends on how much they weight. i've seen 18's that only weigh like 7lbs more than stock wheels. i mean you really won't notice that. i belive that anyone who says 18's cost you power is because they have 17's and need an excuse why they didn't get 18's. yes ultra light weight 17's are best in a true race situation, but some guys have 17's that are heavyer than some 18's. its all about the weight

I took mine out no problem. Just a couple of bolts for it, then a bracket so it dosent get in the way. I would go witht the 18" wheels first.

Yeah I was planning on gettin the light weight 18's. Its not like im gettin spinners or anything :D

Not so fast there! It can cost you whp. larger wheels move more mass further out from the center. So even a wheel that weighs the same can still be worse, since the wieght has more leverage against the center of rotation. There have been dyno tests done that measure the whp drop from larger wheels. Its not a ton, but its enough to be concerned about if yo need every last hp you can get.
In my opionion the bigger disadvantage is the smaller sidewall affecting traction on the launch, since I like drag racing. But added wheel weight/distance from center also affects handling and braking negatively. Also note that since this is rotational weight, you not only have to drag it down the track with you, but you have to accelerate its rotational speed as well to do so.
Remember, rotational weight is a little different than static weight.
