My 00 Accords alarm goes off at all hours, Its driving me crazy. Ive tried
a few different things; "remote" locking, locking only with the key, locking only manually, opening and shutting all the doors(and trunk) before locking. It might go off every couple of hours, or go a day or two before it goes off again. I'm ready to snip the wires to the horn! Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated, THANKS .

if it's under warranty (verify w/ place of purchase) and take it back to whoever it was purchased/installed from.

When I took my car to the dealer to get checked out for a problem there was like 5 people there that had problems with their factory alarms.

I called the dealership today, I wanted to see if there is a way to disable the alarm. They said there is none, but I find that hard to believe. They answered all my ques., but were not really any help.

a reason why the dealer may have said there's no way to disable it is b/c if it was disabled...your vehicle may not start. not familiar w/ factory alarms...but thats how aftermarkets work. the starter wire is cut in half and the alarm hooked up between the cut starter wire...acting as a switch. so whenever the alarm is disarmed....it allows power to the starter. if you completly disable it...then the alarm will not be able to direct the power to the starter. only way to 'disable' it...is to completly uninstall it and wire everything back up the way it is suppose to be w/out the alarm. and like i said before...not sure how factory alarms are...thats how most aftermarket ones are though.

I think I got it! I took the door switches apart cleaned and lubed them up,also lubed the trunk and hood switches. Weeks later, no more problems.
