C110 Skyline GT-X - "Bosozoku" style7th_skyline 02-28-2005, 02:45 AM Ok well this is the first test fit of chassis, wheels, suspension and the bumpers etc. Won't be much progress for a while, until my C130 Laurel is done, but then it should build up quickly. Its the Aoshima "Chiki Chiki Racing Old 4 door" C110 Skyline GT-X 2 door coupe. Wheels are the 15x10 and 15x12" Hayashi Racing rims that come in the kit, along with their accompaning stretchwall tyres (very cool!). The camber/rideheight are box stock for this kit :iceslolan. Its pretty cool , with the new rims and the modified suspension parts for the stance which are supplied, only downside is that the bumpers, grille and so on aren't chrome plated :uhoh: which means nasty BMF work or something... Also heaps of extras like 3 sets of mirrors, 3 "head units", and a set of SSR MKIII rims in the kit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/floody79/skylinechikichiki_front3q.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/floody79/skylinechikichikifront.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/floody79/skylinechikichiki_rr.jpg Little bit of negative camber? :grinno: It will be painted a metallic/mica/pearlescent bright but light blue/aqua of some sort, leaning towards Toyota Blue Mystique mica (as seen on Landbruisers and Camry's), or Mitsubish Pacific Blue metallic. Neither have the multicoloured flake of the box art (which I'm aiming to replicate) though  http://hobbyworld.aoshima-bk.co.jp/g_library2/ABK/ABK135351.jpg nis.k.a. 02-28-2005, 03:33 AM Awesome. I love these kits! SupaMan89T 02-28-2005, 03:45 AM I WANT I WANT! please finish it! :evillol: tonioseven 02-28-2005, 07:40 AM :sunglasse 7th_skyline 02-28-2005, 08:22 AM Thanks guys. Yeah this will be a pretty quick project I reckon, interior will be mostly one colour and box stock, undercarriage detailing will be minimal, and its really quite basic anyway. Should I make a big externally mounted oil cooler for the front? ala this - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/floody79/DSC00119.jpg I probably won't.... JDM Wagon 02-28-2005, 12:27 PM man i love that skyline. now i have to get me one :) Alfa 147 02-28-2005, 01:03 PM now THAT is a lot of camber :iceslolan looking good, can't wait to see it finished Hape 02-28-2005, 01:45 PM S :sunglasse :sunglasse c :sunglasse :sunglasse l!!! I think there is little bit too much negative camper... but that your model! :smokin: Porsche Carrera 02-28-2005, 02:26 PM looks nice and good luck with the BMF. 7th_skyline 02-28-2005, 07:46 PM I think there is little bit too much negative camber... but that your model! Hehe, that suspension is actually box stock would you believe! I am stoked that someone at Aoshima has a sense of humour. I think I'll get the cedric 330 before it goes out of stock too.. nis.k.a. 02-28-2005, 07:56 PM I think there is little bit too much negative camper... but that your model! :smokin: The model comes like that from the box. Awesome, right? ImolaEK 02-28-2005, 08:06 PM The model comes like that from the box. Awesome, right? Yup :) And it comes with SSR's too! Wow this kit is a must have:) 7th_skyline 02-28-2005, 08:22 PM Just a word on the SSR's in the box, they are UNPLATED grey plastic. It will take some work to make them look good. And they come without tyres. ImolaEK 03-01-2005, 06:28 AM Just a word on the SSR's in the box, they are UNPLATED grey plastic. It will take some work to make them look good. And they come without tyres. Ouch, why would Aoshima do that :thumbsdow Why didn't they do that to the bumpers in the first place:thumbsdow But... I still like this kit:) SupaMan89T 03-01-2005, 07:14 AM Ouch, why would Aoshima do that :thumbsdow Why didn't they do that to the bumpers in the first place:thumbsdow But... I still like this kit:) no tires wTF?!?!?!?!? :screwy: 7th_skyline 03-01-2005, 08:08 PM no tires wTF?!?!?!?!? :screwy: I'm guessing its because it comes with the stretchwall tyres and the wide Hayashi Racing rims. Normally in updated Aoshima kits the original rims are supplied but without tyres - like in my DR30 RS-X kit there was a set of mesh rims (SSR reverse maybe?) supplied unplated, no tyres etc, because the kit came with RS-watanabe's and tyres to suit them. My Aoshima C130 Laurel came with plated original style wheels and tyres (hubcap styling), and also some unplated 4 spoke deep dish rims with no tyres....
