in this months issue of motortrend, they compare a boxster s, and a new slk55amg. i thought i'd share the acceleration figures for the mercedes, so you guys can see how far benz has come. just 5 years ago, no mercedes could touch these number (no production benz), and now this car isn't even at the top of the range in terms of performance.

0-30: 1.7
0-40: 2.4
0-50: 3.3
0-60: 4.5
0-70: 5.7
0-80: 7.3
0-90: 9.0
0-100: 11.0
1/4mile: 12.8@109.2

this isnt a discussion about reliability, so i would appreciate it if we didn't cover this issue. relaibility has been discussed in many other threads, so if u want to put down these numbers by referring to some JD Power statistic please do so in another thread.
