Couple of projects: Audi 80 and Muscle RodJurva 02-26-2005, 10:43 AM Here is two projects of mine. First, Fujimi Audi 80. Heavily modified front bumper. Subaru wheels and rear wing. Im not sure about that hood scoop. Yes or No? http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Audi80_001-med.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Audi80_002-med.jpg And its intercooler scratchbuild. Painted with chrome paint. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Audi80_003.jpg Next, rod from scrap parts. So far i've attached two peices of frame as one piece. Cabin from 29 ford. Plan is to use left over parts from varius kits. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_001-med.jpg And Muscle Rod's engine. Dual-supercharged-top-fuel-engine. Only problem is how to fit a belt to it. Straight belt wont work. And remember, both chargers has to run in same direction. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_002-med.jpg GTmike400 02-26-2005, 11:04 AM I've seen that motor before in one of my mags. I have a suggestion for the double chargers, give me a minute. EDIT: Heres the diagram. Two seperate belts. One that goes from the engine pulleys to the bottom blower. Then another that goes from another pulley on the bottom blower to the top blower. http://img144.exs.cx/img144/9731/doublesc5kl.jpg Make sense? 1986Z28 02-26-2005, 12:57 PM im with mike on that one, double blowers would be sweet blubaja 02-26-2005, 09:56 PM Hey, Like what you're doing so far. Can we have more pics, and a how to, of the intercooler? It looks really nice. Especially the weld seams. Keep up the great work!! Frank X. Jurva 03-01-2005, 03:46 PM Finished intercooler. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Audi80_004.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Audi80_005.jpg Got ignition wires done. This time i used thinner wires. Had to paint them . I'll paint them more some time. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_003.jpg Final paint for cabin. No clear coat. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_004-med.jpg erb 03-01-2005, 04:30 PM Awsome so far! GTmike400 03-01-2005, 04:40 PM Nice rod. Looks interesting. I like the way you set up those belts. ;) flying finn 03-02-2005, 07:59 AM :D Look at that engine! Very cool. Damn, you put a twin spark setup there and I´m having trouble getting eight plug wires to go on properly.. ps. Hieno puskui! Lurchio 03-02-2005, 08:32 AM Not a criticism but what's the point of two blowers? And I think tyhe Audi lloks better without the bonnet scoop -- don't like thre rear wing too much either! Looking good though! willimo 03-02-2005, 03:58 PM Great work so far. I dig the color on the Audi, and the rod will be awesome. I love those clear-the-parts-box projects! Hey, Like what you're doing so far. Can we have more pics, and a how to, of the intercooler? It looks really nice. Especially the weld seams. Keep up the great work!! Frank X. There already is an intercooler how to in the how-to depository. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59570 You folks ask and ask for how-tos, but you never look at them! What's up with that?! DJPaul 03-03-2005, 12:23 PM Nice hot rod, love the Audi. Great work, man NOMADGAMER 03-04-2005, 09:25 PM yeah but this is one badass FMIC! what did you make the piping with? solder? What brand, what guage, and where did you purchase? did you welding it together with regular CA Glue? Jurva 03-05-2005, 08:36 AM That intercooler was pretty easy to do. The core was from cd box. Then styrene glued to back of it for supporting those long "ends". All piping was from part trees. And to Muscle Rod. Front suspension are collection of parts from beer wagon and 29 ford. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_005.jpg Scratchbuild coil overs. Rear end is from super bee. Four links from parts box. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_006.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_007.jpg And headers from Mad Mudder. I think they are big enough. :) And I also changed tyres. These are from beer wagon. Slot type they are. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_008.jpg Jurva 03-14-2005, 04:56 AM More photos. Added. -breather tank -fuel tank with fuel lines and pump. -oil filter with oil cooler and lines -radiator with hoses and clamps -scratchbuild throttle linkage http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_009.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_010.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_011.jpg http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_013.jpg And "body" got rollgage and furred seat. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_012.jpg I also built battery place. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/85123Musclerod_014.jpg deedlit 03-14-2005, 05:36 AM Good job on both kits  Can't wait to see the Audi done :) And without hood scoop IMO. primera man 03-15-2005, 04:26 AM Interesting looking work on the rod !!
