An article in Australian magazine Wheels (September 1998) revealed some pictures inside some of his "garages", & they said he had 8 F1's. A picture from this article shows the Ueno Clinic #59 GTR.

Perhaps someone from Australia who has this issue & a scanner can post the article...

Not the real #59 GTR I presume, only the replica?

There's been some debate about who really has the replica. It's one of those mysteries that may never be solved unless someone who cares gets inside the one in McLaren's possession and can confirm the chassis number. I'd want to know that the chassis plaque matches the VIN engraved into the carbon floor as well, assuming they do that on the GTRs.

I have some info that came out of a source in Brunei who stated the Sultan has the replica, which should be #09R. I'm inclined to believe that, but you never know...

I don't have an account there, so your link isn't working. I can create one later, but it seems that everyone will have this problem.

Also, your sig image has been a Red X for a while now...?

There's been several such articles, and while they have included plenty of pictures of the Ferraris and Bentleys, there have been virtually no pictures of the McLarens. Although several articles have mentioned them, and since they are written by auto journalists you'd think that they would know how significant the F1s are, there have only been one or two pictures which "accidentally" caught a McLaren in one corner or lurking behind a pillar.

Time to get my press credentials in order.

Actually, with regards to the Sultan's collection, there's a little-known secret that will be on my site--in the information section.
