I was looking around at AutoZone.com and I saw they make a 3" block lift for the front or back, its 26.99, but I want to also raise the back too. Would this be something that would be a fairly good cheap lift? Does it ride rough(right now i have leaves on the truck , so it dont ride so smooth now anyway) Please answer, It would be cool to have a 3" lift just for fun..

It Would Be A Really Cheap Lift...i Would Take To A Shop And Have Some Leaf Springs Made To Give U The 3" Lift.....with The Blocks Ur Basicly Just Lifting The Leaves..so Ur Ride Would Be Bout The Same, But With The Add A Leaves It Would Be A Little More Rough, But You Can Put More Weight On It..

U Also Might Need To Get Angled Blocks For The Rear...to Align The Drive Shaft..

thanks for the advice... i'll look into putting more leaves on there.. but if i did go with the blocks, would it make ruin anything, like if i put them on next week, would something break in like a month? Like the blocks themself? I also heard you could use hockey pucks..

What the &#*% is the deal with the pucks? Who was smokin' what? And do they have enough for me to take a puff ?!! (or three) If you put those on your truck then you just might get stuck. On the road or in the mud and that's gonna suck, so save your bucks!

Ok seriously, if you plan on driving your vehicle like it's lifted, then raise it the right way. If you plan on just being ghetto fabulous and just want people to see that you have a raised truck then the blocks should be ghetto enough. Or is it trailor fabulous?

You will need to replace the steering arm on the axle or you will not be able to turn right worth a damn. It took me a while to figure that out on my truck. And also with the block lift it dose make the ride a little rougher cause it has higher pressure points on the leaves. Especially in the front. What i did was get leaves in the front and blocks in the back and it is working great.

I don't know about the laws where you live , but here in Canada it is illegal to use blocks to lift the front suspension. As for the hockey pucks , i have seen them used before and they are used for a body lift. A cheap way about it, and a dumb and dangerous way. The pucks have absolutely no strength with a hole in the middle of them and could easily break. How would you like to be going down a trail, make a right turn and have the body of your truck go the other way lol

That's why you wrap duct tape around the puck.

Dude!! your looking at body lift blocks not leaf blocks!!!Do not install blocks on front axle !!! It is not safe & illegal in most states .If you were just going to off road it mabey, But not on the street.A set of lift springs in front w/drop steering arm 4 in & under .Drop stearing arm & block spacer must be used if over 6 inches.Blocks or ok for back axle but I suggest spring lift if you plan on putting big horse power to it .Reason being is massive spring wrap under load (It WILL brake your leaves)I ran a block set up w/4 inch lift .A raped out 355 & stall converter .Tried to race it & broke rear leafs on BOTH side into 6 inch peices also stuck one peice through the floor !!!!Now I run ladder bars so no twist.
