I picked up some to change the fluid in the tcase. Any opinions on this?

My personal preference is to use a synthetic in the transfer case. The main job of the lube there is to reduce friction and keep the parts as cool as possible - no friction modifiers are required because there are no clutch packs.

The +3 will work just fine in the transfer case - (it was likey the factory fill) - as will any ATF product. The only time you might have a problem with a incompatible fluid is if a seldom found leak happens that allows the oil in the TC to be pumped into the transfer case.

Amsoil and Mobil 1 are likely the most familiar synthetics. I just happen to use the Mobil because I can find it easier.
