Once again, a fan in a pipe doesn't do anything. Twitch1 02-24-2005, 10:56 AM Well about the best you could hope for is a smog air pump shooting air into the air cleaner or duct to be ingested as sort of ram air. You'd get some ram air effect without the need to be moving at high speed. Wouldn't be much though. http://www.emotipad.com/newemoticons/Dunno2.gif tipota 02-24-2005, 11:58 AM but wouldnt the fan in the pipe suck in air from the engine bay and force it into the intake, thus forced induction? or you coudl even build the fan into the intake, so as it turns it sucks in more air. i didnt think of cleaning the air, but that shouldnt be much of a problem. beyondloadedSE 02-24-2005, 12:09 PM The engine itself will suck in more air than a fan (e-ram) can force in. Its nothing but a restriction in the intake. SaabJohan 02-25-2005, 09:54 AM Fans aren't compressors. Read a book how compressors work and you will understand that a compressor isn't that simple to design and build. When one considers what a used compressor cost, it isn't worth the money to try to build one yourself. nissanfanatic 02-25-2005, 03:56 PM Yep, just put a leaf blower on your car and go:rolleyes: v10_viper 02-26-2005, 02:51 PM C'mon you guys, we all know that by sticking a hairdryer over your throttle body's increases horsepower 150%. Twitch1 02-27-2005, 02:18 PM Yeah, doesn't J.C. Whitney have a kit for that? And it increases mileage 25% too! http://www.emotipad.com/newemoticons/Grin-Nod.gif nissanfanatic 02-27-2005, 05:49 PM Yup. You can put 25% more air in your engine, but 25% less fuel huh? exman98 03-05-2005, 12:05 AM try using a outboard fan from a boat. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
