Tiresmishtx 02-22-2005, 05:41 PM I need new tires for my WRX and am looking for suggestions. Thanks. SabreKhan 02-23-2005, 11:20 AM What are the tires for? Do you live in a warm all-year-round climate, a temperate climate, or almost-Canada? Are they for racing? Autocrossing? Daily driver? What size wheels are they going on? The stock wheels or upgrades? Not knowing any information about your needs, the suggestion I would have for you if you were using them for daily driving in a climate similar to mine would be: Kumho Ecsta Supra tires. Your mileage may vary. Skyline_R32_Canada 02-23-2005, 11:53 AM toyo mishtx 02-23-2005, 12:31 PM I live in Denver, so I'd like the tires to work somewhat in snow. I mainly drive my WRX to work and back but like to run up to the mountains to hike. I have the tires that the car had when I bought it at the dealership. Consumer Reports rate Falken Ziex ZE 512 tires high. Do you agree? SabreKhan 02-23-2005, 03:30 PM meh. They're aight from what I can tell. I don't know a whole lot about all-season tires, since I don't buy them. It only snows here about once a year, and then only for a day or two. keita 02-23-2005, 03:59 PM Sabre, where do you live? freakray 02-23-2005, 09:28 PM Sabre, where do you live? He was in Waco, TX last I remember ;) Personally, I'm partial to Continental and Yokohama tires. audi&benz 02-24-2005, 09:49 AM I have the Falken Ziex 512's on my 02 wrx and I love them. They are a dramatic improvement over the stock RE-92s, and you will definitely notice a difference in handling and grip. They have decent treadwear, and I strongly reccommend them as an all-season tire. SabreKhan 02-24-2005, 10:29 AM Sabre, where do you live? Yep, Texas. mishtx 02-24-2005, 04:15 PM thanks everyone. i am going with Falkens. GrimBeaver 02-28-2005, 01:46 PM toyo T1R's... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
