I read that you'll be able to load your money and liscences from GT3 from two different places, 1up.com and gamespot. Just thought I'd share.

Yup you can do that with all the GT series but you can only load up to 100k i think. Goto http://www.gtplanet.net/ for all your GT needs. Click GT4 for car list/track list etc. Also check out the interactive cars list shows u pics, prices, etc etc

Got mine at EB Games, didn't have to pre-order, I bought a used 300zx so I'd have plenty of money left over for mods from my $100,000

Got my copy last night with no preorder and loaded my GT3 save with 100,000 and licenses...then I played for a few hours.

Chose not to load all of that crap. I think that it will be more challenging to start with a crappy used car.-G-limited mr2 with 39,000 miles and added a racing chip.

^ i thought so too, so i just spent the money on a bunch of differnent cars so i can partake in different races, i have a skyline for the AWD and turbo class races, a 350Z for FR races, and a GNX just cuz i wanted it. i kinda thought it would ruin the game to buy some sick ass car right of the bat.

i think it's funny how these stores make it seem like you absolutely have to pre-order a copy of the game to get one. I went to EB with a couple buddies and we all bought it no prob, and i could have gotten Halo 2 the same way. all pre-ordering does is make you want the game that much more. plus if i had pre-ordered it I'd have been pissed off at how long it actually took to be released.

Well even though I chose to load my money and licenses, I still only bought myself a used 1990 Toyota Supra 2.5GT TT and kept it stock to begin with.
