Mine acts sluggish....96 jgc limited...I dont know why....anything I can look at? Sometimes I have to set and hit the button 15 times for it to work. Sometimes once. Any Ideas?

I really dont know about this. I have a 95 GC Laredo and it has the option for the keyless entry (the little black bubble on the center consol on the roof) but when I got it, they never gave me the remote. But I assume your problemis in the romote, judging by the how you said you had to hit it a bunch of times. I think the problem is simply the metal plate that when pressed via the rubber button, sends an electric signal to the I.R. bulb that unlocks the doors. I think you just need to get it replaced. Or buy a whole new remote, like $50 for one, I think. Hope that solves your problem.

I just fixed it...I took the remote apart and noticed that the 3v watch looking battery that the unlock/lock buttons depress onto had indents from the metal contacts. i just switched the panic battery that looked like new with the unlock/lock and this fixed my problem! Eventually i may need to replace both batteries but i couldnt imagine that being too much $.

Well, you never know. You'd be surprised at how much they can be. But I'm sure that you could find a pack of 5 or 6 of them for no more than $10. Which isnt too bad I suppose...
