In Progress:Super Detailed Tamiya Enzo FerrariAMV 02-21-2005, 08:32 PM Hey, picked up this kit to try out the exotic car section aside from moto gp. I went with super detail kit from SMS, excellent selection of bolts and different parts that build up great realism, I suggest getting it if your planning to do this build. If u got money to spend go for Acu-Stion transkit, i think they got more selections and good mesh. So far done most of the work on the engine compartment, and cutting out the hood from the front. http://img1.imageuploader.net/775/tn_IMG_0001.JPG (http://img1.imageuploader.net/show.php?img=IMG_0001.JPG&d=775) http://img1.imageuploader.net/825/tn_2.jpg (http://img1.imageuploader.net/show.php?img=2.jpg&d=825) http://img1.imageuploader.net/464/tn_3.jpg (http://img1.imageuploader.net/show.php?img=3.jpg&d=464) http://img1.imageuploader.net/394/tn_4.jpg (http://img1.imageuploader.net/show.php?img=4.jpg&d=394) http://img1.imageuploader.net/542/tn_Untitled-1.jpg (http://img1.imageuploader.net/show.php?img=Untitled-1.jpg&d=542) http://img1.imageuploader.net/131/tn_5.jpg (http://img1.imageuploader.net/show.php?img=5.jpg&d=131) http://img1.imageuploader.net/674/tn_6.jpg (http://img1.imageuploader.net/show.php?img=6.jpg&d=674) MidMazar 02-21-2005, 10:25 PM I love how the sms gives it so much more detail, great work so far, keep us posted, are you going to hinge the hood? AMV 02-21-2005, 10:33 PM Yes i will hinge the hood later on in the build. Alfa 147 02-21-2005, 10:40 PM The engine is looking really good, very nice details ;) rx7king 02-22-2005, 02:58 PM good stuff, i look forward to more progress robrex 02-22-2005, 04:48 PM Nice start! I'll look forward to following the progress. I've got the enzo waiting to start I just can't make up my mind which detail set to get? Acu-stion is SOOOO expensive though? Junhao 02-22-2005, 06:57 PM Looking great! AMV 02-22-2005, 10:13 PM Acu-stion is SOOOO expensive though? Yes i know, if u dont wanna spend that much money on detail up set then go with sms set. U can get same level of detail with out the bonus features...tnx 360spider 02-24-2005, 08:31 PM I actually think that SMS set is much superior to Acu-STion set. AMV 02-24-2005, 09:11 PM Hello again, i'am back with few more updates...I started laying out the cf decals for the interior and did a bit of pluming on the engine. http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0192.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0193.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0194.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0195.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0196.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/33.jpg http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/34.jpg AstroRide44 02-25-2005, 09:27 AM wow that exhuast looks like it got roasted levelgrape 02-25-2005, 11:00 AM Can someone explain these details kits to me? I have never heard of them. I was always under the impression Tamiya meant "make your own parts" for detail. Do the 2 companies have web addy's? SchuberT 02-25-2005, 11:06 AM Can someone explain these details kits to me? I have never heard of them. I was always under the impression Tamiya meant "make your own parts" for detail. Do the 2 companies have web addy's? That's exactly what Tamiya is, this guy's detailing is his own... custom (well, most of it anyway). The super detail kit from SMS he's talking about is a set of photoetched and other parts meant to help with the detailing he's doing. On that note, I have to say this build is amazing, and I want more. AMV 02-25-2005, 03:58 PM wow that exhuast looks like it got roasted hehe, ya i'am making a racing version enzo ferrari so i wanted to simulate that the engine was pushed to the max on the race track, and even if u look at used enzos their exhausts are similar that... not the ones in the dealer ship. Glad u like my build so far, ill try to make more progress during the weekend and maybe ill post an update sometime next week. l8r stump 02-26-2005, 09:30 AM AMV, that's going to be absolutely gorgeous when completed Mate.. Great work so far, especially like the motor, ......Shweeeet...!! cheers stump :aus: AlexMatrix 03-08-2005, 08:26 PM Nice build so far; been a while whats taking u so long... AMV 03-08-2005, 08:58 PM Hey guys, sorry for the long delay. My friends borrowed my camera for vacation so I was unable to take pics. Now that they are coming back this weekend; ill shoot more picks on a big update that I’ve been working on this far. l8r AMV 03-12-2005, 09:04 PM Here’s the update I promised, finally got my camera back and took some pics of the build so far. http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0176.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0177.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0178.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0181.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0184.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0185.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0186.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0187.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0188.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0189.JPG http://usera.imagecave.com/Amv/IMG_0191.JPG Porsche Carrera 03-12-2005, 09:08 PM that's freakin' awesome! :sunglasse DJ_Merle 03-12-2005, 09:12 PM AWESOME work man! mike united 03-12-2005, 09:20 PM Amazing detail......:eek7: Mike. Alfa 147 03-12-2005, 10:02 PM that look's amazing! insane detail :smokin: AMV 03-13-2005, 11:22 AM Thanks for comments; ya i put hours into detail trying to simulate the real thing...u guys know where I can get a license plate for the enzo? I know some detail sets have them but I don’t want to buy a whole new set just for the plate… I was wondering if they sell them separately...comments/suggestions? robrex 03-13-2005, 04:57 PM Excellent work! Koenigferrari 03-13-2005, 07:48 PM Amazing work. It is looking amazing. Keep up the good work! rx7king 03-14-2005, 12:15 AM really nice progress, very realistic Cobra Colors 03-14-2005, 08:57 AM Very nice progress! Lurchio 03-15-2005, 08:31 AM Stuff like this makes me realise even more that I'll never be at this standard! Not with hands the size of mine! I cannot understand how you guys get the CF to look so perfect - I really struggle with this stuff! Can I point out one thing? You seem to have missed off the silver clips from the air intakes! Picking holes but if it's super detail then I'm sure you'd want to know! Other than that - a million times better than the enzo I'm building! AMV 03-15-2005, 09:28 AM Thanks guys...Lurchio ya i know what you talking about, the foil around the air box i still not finished with that peace but ill make sure it will be done for next progress. slk320 03-15-2005, 03:32 PM Geez.. AMV 03-20-2005, 09:45 PM Hey guys another update from me, this time I sprayed down the Ferrari red on the Enzo...I think the paint came out good:smokin: .
