Hi to all,
I've just found a break in my heated seat circuit as many people have had - two wired had come off the heater element for the front right quarter of the seat. In order to carry out a quick fix I've twisted and soldered the wires rather than attempting to re-wire the element (it appears to be cracked in that section. The seat is now heating lovely - for about 5 minutes. I am at the conclusion that one of the following is true:

1) Thermostat is being over-zealous - in which case, please could someone let me know where it is and how to go about checking it.

2) The lack of resistance on the cable I have repaired due to not having an element on it is causing it to cut out - if this is more likeley the case could someone suggest what size resistor to put on the circuit to mimic the heater element?

Thanks to all.
